Dual Stream HD Playback at Uncompressed Rates. Advancements in the Version 12 software and the Apple Computer MacPro® platform make playback limitations a thing of the past. Users now have the ability to playback multiple streams of full Uncompressed 10-bit media in native HD resolutions.

Advanced keying with real-time RGB, YUV, HSL modes and softness/offset controls. The powerful, intuitive keyer yields superior quality and is fast to use, with keyframeable opacity controls right in the timeline.

RGB and YUV color correction in real time for HD images with live output to an attached broadcast monitor for accurate color picking and monitoring of adjustments.

Compressed HD workflow: Users can work at native HD resolutions but with a more manageable file size. Whether you choose to acquire or render to the compressed HD workflow, your storage concerns will no longer be an issue.

Real-time Effects at HD resolution include transitions, opacity control, keying, color correction, audio mixing, equalization, and broadcast-quality format conversion with aspect ratio conversion. Other SD effects render in near real-time, and effects on HD images are optimized for the Power Mac G5 platform.

The Media 100 HD Suite delivers the speed that HD postproduction has been missing with All On One Mastering. The system allows users to capture images at low or compressed resolution in progressive or interlaced formats, edit and apply effects in real time, and then recapture at any resolution. The Media 100 HD Suite is unique in its ability to capture HD signals as draft-resolution signals at as little as 5 kilobytes per frame, edit in real-time, and then recapture the program in 10-bit uncompressed HD.

Simply the highest-quality bidirectional and cross-directional format conversion. Sure, there are systems out there that offer down-conversion for monitoring purposes. The Media 100 HD Suite, however, performs full up, cross and down-conversion plus aspect ratio conversion with stunning quality that must be seen to be believed. The keys to pristine images are edge detection, motion-adaptive de-interlacing and scaling of progressive frames prior to re-interlace. Media 100 Technology yields the highest quality conversion of HD to HD, HD to SD, and SD to HD (interlaced formats only) to support all workflows in an industry poised between our standard definition past and our high definition future.

The Media 100 HD Suite is both media and timeline-compatible with earlier generation Media 100 systems, meaning programs, bins and media can move from Media 100 HD and Media 100 i to The Media 100 HD Suite systems quickly, easily, and without data degradation. In addition, a software codec and a native Media 100 HD codec allow QuickTime applications, such as Adobe® After Effects®, to create HD and SD media on any system, from laptop to desktop, that is compatible with the Media 100 HD Suite.
